Born on this day in 1944, Richard Theodore Otcasek (pka Ric Ocasek), the American singer, songwriter, record producer, best known as the vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for The Cars, would have turned 80. Sadly, we lost the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in September of 2019, but his music lives on.
