Today we remember "The Money Man." Born on this day in 1949, Edward Joseph Mahoney, known professionally as Eddie Money, the American rock singer and songwriter who had incredible success in the 1970s and 1980s with 11 Top 40 songs including "Baby Hold On", "Two Tickets to Paradise", "Think I'm In Love", "Shakin'", "Take Me Home Tonight", "I Wanna Go Back", "Walk on Water", and "The Love in Your Eyes". In 1987, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for "Take Me Home Tonight" his duet with Ronnie Spector. Sadly, we lost Eddie Money on September 13, 2019, due to complications from cancer, he was 70.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie at Bo & Jim Bash 4, several years back. Listen to the interview above.
