Steve Perry Reacts to Having the "Biggest Song of All Time"

Steve Perry and Neal Schon have commented on a recent article in Forbes magazine that recognizes Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" as "The Biggest Song of All Time."

Perry, who co-wrote the 1981 song with Schon and Jonathan Cainsays, "When this 'Don’t Stop Believin’' - ”The Biggest Song of ALL Time' article came out I was so emotionally stunned.

"To be part of such a moment as this made me reflect on my parents.

"By that I mean, though I lost them both years ago, I was so happy for them because they are truly the reason this is happening.

"My dad was a singer, and both of them were very musical.

"So on behalf of my Mom and Dad, I thank every one of you for so many years of support."

And Schon adds, "We officially now have the biggest song ever! in the world. DON'T STOP BELIEVIN' Friends! Congratulations to all."

"Don't Stop Believin'" has been certified 18x platinum, placing it in a tie with “Sunflower (Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse)” by Post Malone and Swae Lee as the highest certified single ever in the U.S.

One Journey Song Is Getting Some High Praise: We’re guessing it’d be somewhere on your list of greatest songs of all time, but “Forbes” has confirmed it. Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” is being officially called the “Biggest Song Of All Time” after being certified 18-times platinum. The Recording Industry Association Of America guesses the song has been heard by everyone around the world.
