40 Years Ago Today John Lennon's Posthumous 'Milk And Honey' Was Released

Released on this day in 1984, Milk and Honey is the eighth and final studio album by John Lennon & Yoko Ono. The tracks were compiled by Ono and taken from Lennon's studio sessions following his death in 1980. Lennon was in the middle of recording the follow up to Double Fantasy when he was shot and killed. Similar to Double Fantasy, Milk and Honey followed the format of one Lennon song followed by one Ono song. Ono never built upon John's recordings, apart from some editing and mixing, they were released in their raw, unfinished state.

In honor of the 40th Anniversary, check out a few videos for songs from the album.
