It's Official: Billy Joel Releasing New Music February 1st

Billy Joel has officially announced what he's been teasing since December -- he has recorded a new song and it will be out next month.

Titled “Turn the Lights Back On,” it was produced by Freddy Wexler, known for his work with Ariana GrandeJustin BieberKanye WestPinkSelena GomezCeline Dion and many others.

Billy co-wrote the song with Wexler, Arthur Bacon, and Wayne Hector.

Set for release on February 1st, it's described as a “classic Billy Joel-style tune, embodying the hallmarks of his signature sound and ushering in the next chapter of his story. In the lyrics, he asks, ‘Did I wait too long… to turn the lights back on?'”

This will be his first new music since “All My Life” and “Christmas in Fallujah," both in 2007. His last pop album was 1993's River of Dreams.
