Jon Bon Jovi: MusiCares Person of the Year

Grammy nominations will be announced November 10th, 2023. Right before the GRAMMY Awards hit the airwaves from Los Angeles next February, one rock star is being honored for his work off-stage. Jon Bon Jovi has been named as the 2024 MusiCares Person Of The Year.

The award celebrates Bon Jovi’s charity work through his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, founded in 2006. The organization aims to fight hunger, poverty and homelessness. The rocker, who says the work is “a cornerstone of my life” also believes that “helping one’s community is helping one’s self.”

“I’m truly humbled to be this year’s MusicCares honoree,” the “Wanted Dead Or Alive” singer said. “MusiCares’ work with music professionals is vitally important in creating much-needed support… that cultivate a healing and vibrant community for us all.” The 61-year-old will be the second New Jersey native to receive this honor, following Bruce Springsteen’s award in 2013.
