Born on this day in 1952, Neil Ellwood Peart, the Canadian-American musician, and author, best known as the former drummer and primary lyricist for RUSH would have turned 71. Peart has published several memoirs about his travels. Peart was inducted with RUSH into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, and into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1983. Sadly, we lost Neil on January 7, 2020, after a 3-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
