Remembering Benjamin Orr On His Birthday

Born on this day in 1947, Benjamin Orzechowski (PKA Benjamin Orr), the American musician best known as a singer, bassist, and co-founder of The Cars, would have turned 75. Sadly, we lost Ben on October 4, 2000, after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 53. Orr sang lead vocals on several of the band's best-known songs, including "Just What I Needed", "Let's Go", "Bye Bye Love", "Moving In Stereo" and "Drive".
