The Van Halen's 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello is Up for Auction!

A 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello once owned b yEddie and Alex Van Halen is on the auction block.

The car was Eddie's daily driver, and when he gave it to Alex, big brother had it modified so he could race it on the track.

With Alex's goggles still hanging from the dash, and inspections cards for each brother, the car is owned and was restored by Van Halen family friend Damian Barbuscia and the car restoration experts Franco’s European.

With just under 30,000 miles, the car has a six-speed gated shifter and a fully restored leather dashboard and interior. It was modified to be similar to the ultra-rare Ferrari 550 WSR, of which only 33 were made.

However, whoever wins the auction will not be taking home a shiny black Ferrari, as the paint has been scuffed and worn by the Van Halens over the years, but can be fully repainted by request.

Also included with the car are digital NFT assets including a digital scan of the vehicle rendered in the Unreal Engine, digital copies of Eddie and Alex Van Halen's titles, and a collectible digital car set.

The online auction got under way last night at 8 pm, and runs for 48 hours at VHFerrari.com.

A portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to charitable causes through their charity partner, Let Me Help.
