David Crosby will mark his 80th birthday on August 14th with the release of a new album three weeks earlier, on July 23rd.
For Free once again has Crosby working with his son James Raymond, with contributions from Donald Fagen on the song "Rodriguez Tonight," and Michael McDonald on the first single, "River Rise."
The title track is a cover of the Joni Mitchell song.
For Free is Crosby's fifth album since 2014.
