Check out the Stunning Pictures From Mars, that Rover is Snapping...

NASA Perseverance Rover Lands On Mars

NASA is unveiling the first images - and video - from Mars. David Gruel, who is the camera lead with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, explained the Perseverance has a total of 23 cameras onboard that sent back video from the perspective of the spacecraft landing on the Red Planet.

He said the main video images came from the parachute "up look" camera, the descent-stage "down look" camera and the rover "up look" and "down look" cameras. Gruel added no audio was collected, but the cameras do have color and zooming capabilities.

Director Mike Watkins said this is the first time they've been able to capture an event like the landing of the spacecraft on Mars. According to Watkins, they continue to learn something by looking at the performance of the vehicle on these videos. See the images HERE.
