SpaceX Launch from Kennedy Space Center...

It's official, four astronauts are now on their way to the International Space Station. The SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida on top of the Falcon 9 rocket last night.

Why is this launch such a big deal? The Crew-1 is the first fully operational flight for Space X's Crew Dragon. In May, two astronauts launched with Crew Dragon, but NASA says that was a demonstration mission.

“By working together through these difficult times, you’ve inspired the nation, the world, and in no small part the name of this incredible vehicle, Resilience,” Commander Mike Hopkins said right before liftoff....and once reaching orbit, he radioed: “That was one heck of a ride.”
